Legislative Affairs Associate

The Education Trust seeks a Legislative Affairs Associate to assist in the implementation of legislative campaigns around both its K-12 and higher education policy agenda. Reporting to the Director of Legislative Affairs, the Legislative Affairs Associate will help support The Education Trust’s federal legislative strategy.

Administrative Assistant

The Education Trust seeks an administrative assistant to support the organization’s Division of Program and Policy. Reporting to the vice president for program and policy, the administrative assistant will manage the vice president’s schedule, coordinate meetings with internal and external contacts, prepare expense reports, track cross-divisional projects, and provide general day-to-day administrative support to the Program and Policy team. The role is a pivotal support position, as the administrative assistant is a key liaison among staff members and between the vice president and external partners.

Director of Development

The Education Trust seeks a Director of Development to design, articulate, and implement a fundraising strategy that will increase the Trust’s capacity to replicate and expand upon its success in foundation support with current and untapped sources as well as identify and prioritize new possible funding streams.  Founded in 1997, The Education Trust promotes high academic achievement for all students at all levels – prekindergarten through college.

Research Associate

The Education Trust seeks a Research Associate to support the organization’s division of Program and Policy.  Reporting to the Director of Research, the Research Associate will play a critical role in ensuring that The Education Trust’s practice and policy work is based on  the most current education research.

Field Director

The Education Trust seeks a Field Director to join the organization’s division of Government Affairs and Communications. The Field Director will play a key role in an exciting initiative to expand and intensify the impact of The Education Trust’s efforts to improve education throughout the nation. Reporting to the Vice President for Government Affairs and Communications, the Field Director’s primary responsibility will be to design and lead a program to identify, educate, and mobilize key individuals outside of Washington, D.C., around The Education Trust’s message and policy proposals.

Director of Teacher Quality

The Education Trust seeks a Director of Teacher Quality. Reporting to the Vice President for Program and Policy, the Director of Teacher Quality will lead an ambitious and timely effort to highlight the importance of teacher quality and to advance a pre-K-12 teacher-quality policy agenda with special attention to closing the achievement gaps.

K-12 Policy Analyst

The Education Trust seeks a Policy Analyst to support the work of the K-12 Policy team. Reporting to the Director of K-12 Policy Development, the Policy Analyst will draw lessons from the best available data, research, and practical experiences to inform and advance the organization’s policy agenda, which is aimed at ensuring that all students receive the educational opportunities they need and deserve.

Manager of New Media

The Education Trust seeks a Manager of New Media to join the organization’s Division of Government Affairs and Communications. As a key member of this team, reporting to the Director of Communications, the Manager of New Media is a strategic thinker who can lead The Education Trust’s efforts in the Web 2.0 realm to increase commitment to our mission of closing the gaps in achievement and opportunity.

Writer

The Education Trust seeks a writer to join the organization’s Government Affairs and Communications division. The writer plays a key role in helping shape the discussions that support the organization’s policy, practice, and advocacy efforts.

Internships for Summer 2010

We are now accepting applications for our summer 2010 internship program.

The Education Trust internship program is for individuals who believe that all students can achieve at high levels and who want to work as part of a team committed to that goal. The program is designed for undergraduates, recent graduates, and graduate students who are capable of doing staff-level work under minimal supervision.
