Communications Specialist

The Education Trust, recently named one of the three most effective organizations influencing federal education policy, seeks a communications specialist to join its division of Government Affairs and Communications. Reporting to the director of communications, the communications specialist is the organization’s primary point of contact for media throughout the nation, supporting efforts to increase awareness of and commitment to our mission, pre-K through college.

Director of Meetings and Conferences

The Education Trust seeks a Director of Meetings and Conferences to support the work of the organization through the convening of stakeholders, partners, and external and internal colleagues. Reporting to the Vice President for Operations and Strategic Leadership, this position leads an active and ambitious team that plans and executes an annual national conference of more than 500 attendees. The director plays a key role in helping the organization broaden its outreach, increase conference attendance, and strengthen its programming from year to year. He or she also manages several other meetings of 20-200 participants. These consist of internal staff and external partners and focus on specific areas of our work. Further, the director leads the organization’s efforts to deploy innovative convening strategies beyond in-person meetings, such as webinars and other appropriate technology and tools, helping the organization expand its capacity to engage even more individuals and groups in its gap-closing work.

Senior Associate for Higher Education Research

The Education Trust seeks a Senior Research Associate to support the work of the Higher Education Research and Policy team. Reporting to the Director of Higher Education Research and Policy, the Senior Associate will be a part of the higher education team, which is focused on increasing the access and success of low-income students and students of color in postsecondary institutions. The Education Trust advances this mission by establishing deep partnerships with leading researchers and practitioners in the field, conducting innovative and provocative research and data analyses, publishing reports, and engaging in public advocacy.
