Kati Haycock President Kati Haycock is one of the nation's leading advocates in the field of education. She currently serves as President of The Education Trust. Established in 1996, Ed Trust works for the high academic achievement of all students at all levels, pre-kindergarten through college. The organization’s goal is to close the gaps in opportunity and achievement that consign too many low-income students and students of color to lives on the margins of the American mainstream. Known for years as a powerful force on education policy, Ed Trust is often described as “the most important truth teller” in American public education. But the organization also works hand in hand with educators and civic leaders in their efforts to transform schools and colleges into institutions that serve all students well. Before coming to The Education Trust, Haycock served as Executive Vice President of the Children's Defense Fund, the nation's largest child advocacy organization. A native Californian, Haycock founded and served as President of The Achievement Council, a statewide organization that provided assistance to teachers and principals in predominantly minority schools in improving student achievement. She also served as Director of Outreach and Student Affirmative Action programs for the nine-campus University of California system. Kati Haycock speaks about educational improvement before thousands of educators, community and business leaders, and policymakers each year. She has received numerous awards for her service in behalf of our nation’s youth, and serves as a director on several education-related boards, including the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, The New Teacher Project, and the Hunt Institute. |

Ivy Ellis Executive Assistant to the President
Ivy joined The Education Trust in 2000. She previously worked as an executive assistant/proposal coordinator for Facilities Management Company in Lanham, Md. She has held similar positions for the Department of Defense and other government entities throughout her 25-year career. |

Stephanie G. Robinson Principal Partner Emerita
A founding partner of Ed Trust in 1993, Stephanie worked with school boards, administrators, principals, teachers, and communities to implement policies and practices aimed at improving teaching and learning. She helped create the Standards-in-Practice professional development initiative that encouraged standards-based education in districts across the nation as well as Ed Trust’s National Center for Transforming School Counseling. Stephanie was a teacher and administrator in the Montclair, N.J., schools, education director for the National Urban League, and deputy superintendent of the Kansas City, Mo., schools. A graduate of Douglass College, she received a master’s in social work from Rutgers University and a doctorate in human growth and development/school administration from the Union Institute. |

Paul Ruiz Senior Adviser Emeritus A co-founder of The Education Trust, Paul has devoted more than 35 years of professional work to the educational success of all students, focusing specifically on improving achievement and closing the Latino and African-American achievement gap. A former school principal and central office administrator, he was selected Educator of the Year by the Michigan Department of Education. He served as chief academic officer for the District of Columbia Public Schools and senior director of the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. Residing in San Antonio, Paul works with local education and civic leaders in the Southwest to advance the work of Ed Trust. A graduate of St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Paul holds a master’s from Central Michigan University and a doctorate from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. |

Richard Lemons Vice President for K-12 Policy and Practice Richard is former director of the Institute for Urban School Improvement at the University of Connecticut and was on faculty in the Department of Education Leadership, where he directed and taught within the doctoral program. He worked with the Connecticut Center for School Change and the Fairfield County Community Foundation, in collaboration with urban districts, to design and teach within the Urban School Leaders Fellowship, an initiative to enhance leadership capacity within urban districts. He previously was associate director of the Change Leadership Group at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. A former high school teacher, Richard has led summer programs for at-risk youth and served as a change coach for urban high schools. He received a bachelor's in political science from North Carolina State University and master's and doctorates in administration, planning, and social policy from Harvard University. |

Sarah Almy Director of Teacher Quality Sarah comes to Ed Trust from The New Teacher Project, where she helped recruit, select, train, and support teachers to fill positions in high-need subjects within hard-to-staff schools. She directly oversaw TNTP’s partnerships with the District of Columbia, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and Denver schools. Prior to TNTP, Sarah served as executive director of Yes Reading, a nonprofit organization that partners with schools to provide structured reading interventions for students. Sarah began her career as an elementary school teacher in Houston as a member of Teach for America. She holds a master's in policy analysis and evaluation from Stanford University and a bachelor's in political science from Boston College. |

Marni Bromberg Research Associate Marni comes to Ed Trust with a background in teaching and public policy. After joining Teach for America in 2006, she taught second grade for three years in Atlanta. She then earned a master’s degree in public policy at American University, with a focus in social policy. While at American, she served as a teaching assistant for the School of Public Affairs Leadership Program, which allows students to design and execute community action projects. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in American studies from Cornell University. |

Rima Brusi Applied Anthropologist Rima is currently developing the Ed Trust's bilingual blog, “Cerrando Brechas/Closing Gaps," designed for parents, caregivers, and communities. Before joining us, Rima served as associate professor of social sciences at the University of Puerto Rico, where she also cofounded and directed the Center for University Access. Her recent research, writing, teaching, and advocacy work integrates ethnography, action research, life-history interviews, and other methods to discern the relationship among social inequality, geography, and access to public higher education. Rima holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez and master’s and doctoral degrees in cultural anthropology from Cornell University. |

Karin Chenoweth Writer-in-Residence Karin Chenoweth is writer-in-residence at The Education Trust. She recently co-authored, with Ed Trust’s director of research Christina Theokas, Getting it Done: Leading Academic Success in Unexpected Schools (Harvard Education Press, 2011), a careful study of the beliefs and practices of effective leaders of high-poverty and high-minority schools. Getting It Done builds on two previous books by Chenoweth, “It’s Being Done:” Academic Success in Unexpected Schools (Harvard Education Press, 2007) and How It’s Being Done: Urgent Lessons from Unexpected Schools (Harvard Education Press, 2009). She has spoken widely about her work, including at the Iowa Governor’s Education Summit, the Illinois Coalition of High Schools, the Learning Forward national conference, the American Federation of Teachers’ QuEST conference, and, with Christina Theokas, at Western Kentucky University, Rutgers University-Camden, and the Hume Region principals conference in Melbourne, Australia. Before joining Ed Trust, Chenoweth wrote a weekly column on schools and education for The Washington Post. Before that she was senior writer and executive editor for Black Issues In Higher Education (now Diverse). As a freelance writer, she wrote for such publications as Education Week, American Teacher, American Educator, School Library Journal, and the Washington Post Magazine. In addition, she was an active parent volunteer throughout her children’s public schooling in Montgomery County, Md. |

Karen Crews Senior Associate for Transforming School Counseling Before joining the Education Trust, Karen was a principal in Washington, D.C. She worked in the Montgomery County schools for 13 years as an assistant principal, school counselor, and central office instructional specialist. Karen has supervised high school counseling departments and worked with school counselors and teachers on understanding how to use data to inform instruction. She holds a bachelor’s in English from Howard University and a master’s in school counseling and a doctorate in educational leadership from Bowie State University in Maryland. In 2005, she received the dean’s dissertation of the year award for research on teacher perceptions of professional development activities. |

Daria Hall Director of K-12 Policy Development Daria joined The Education Trust in 2003 as a policy analyst. Since then, she has authored reports and participated in national policy conversations about accountability, high school graduation, and standards. She also leads the organization’s work to identify high-poverty, high-minority, high-performing schools. Previously, Daria worked as an analyst for the Texas Legislative Council. She is a graduate of Rice University and holds a master’s from the University of Wisconsin. |

Brooke Haycock Artist-in-Residence Brooke has been crafting and performing issues-focused theater with The Education Trust for more than a decade. A former high school dropout from an urban public school system, Brooke now spends most of her time back in schools with students and educators, listening to their experiences of equity in education. Inspired by the work of documentarians Studs Terkel and Anna Deavere Smith, Brooke mixes interview with performance to produce incisive chronicles of opportunity and achievement in America. She holds a bachelor's from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a master's from Johns Hopkins University. |

Peggy Hines Director, Transforming School Counseling
As director of the Ed Trust’s National Center for Transforming School Counseling, Peggy consults with state departments of education, universities, and school districts. She is the former director of the school counselor program at Indiana State University and past president of the Indiana School Counselor Association. She was a member of the writing team for the American School Counselors Association’s National Model for School Counseling Programs and one of the developers of the MetLife Foundation’s National School Counselor Training Initiative. Peggy also was cofounder of the American Student Achievement Institute. |

Allison Horowitz K-12 Policy Analyst Allison joined Ed Trust after earning a master’s in public policy from Duke University. While attending graduate school, she consulted on topics such as teacher effectiveness and interned at the New York City Department of Education’s Office of Early Childhood Education. She previously worked as a research assistant at Child Trends, where she participated in research and evaluative projects related to fatherhood and parenting. Allison holds a bachelor’s degree in government and history from Georgetown University. |

Janelle Sands Research Associate Janelle comes to the Ed Trust with a background that includes working in the classroom and conducting research in a school district, as well as working as a research assistant at the American Institutes for Research. She has a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in economics from Temple University, as well as master’s in urban education policy from Brown University. She completed a year-long internship in the Brockton Public Schools, where she co-designed and implemented a research project evaluating elementary school teachers’ implementation of the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol model for English Language Learners. She conducted a semester-long study in Salvador, Brazil which looked at educational inequalities. She also worked as a DC Teaching Fellow in a fifth-grade self-contained classroom. |

Christina Theokas Director of Research Both an educator and researcher, Christina is committed to integrating research, practice and policy to help improve schools and student outcomes. She is the director of research at the Education Trust, where she recently co-authored a book, with Karin Chenoweth, Getting it Done: Leading Academic Success in Unexpected Schools (Harvard Education Press, 2011). Prior to joining the Ed Trust, she worked in the research and evaluation office of the Alexandria City Public Schools in Virginia. She evaluated program efficacy and trained principals and teachers on how to understand and use available data to make instructional decisions and guide school reform efforts. Previously, Christina worked for 10 years in schools in various capacities, including as a special education teacher, school psychologist, and supervisor of curriculum, assessment, and training. She also led the middle school at a special education school in Massachusetts. Her work focused on developing curriculum and programs to meet the social, emotional, and learning needs of diverse students. Currently, she is the chair of the school performance committee at a charter school in Washington, D.C., and sits on the board of The Arlington Partnership for Children, Youth and Families. Christina holds a doctorate in Child Development from Tufts University.

Melissa Tooley Teacher Quality Data and Policy Analyst Melissa’s work at the Ed Trust focuses on evaluating and influencing policy to ensure that all students receive the effective teachers they need and deserve. Her recent professional experiences include advocating for federal policies that increase educational opportunity at The Institute for College Access & Success, and promoting effective health policies at the New York offices of the Epilepsy Foundation. She spent the first six years of her career working in market research analysis and consulting at Nielsen BASES. Melissa completed her master’s in public policy at the University of Chicago, during which time she interned with the Office of Academic Enhancement in the Chicago Public Schools and the White House Domestic Policy Council. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Drew University. |

Natasha Ushomirsky K-12 Data Analyst Natasha joined The Education Trust after completing a master’s in education policy and management at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Before graduate school, she spent three years as a research assistant and associate analyst at Abt Associates, a research and consulting firm. At Abt, Natasha worked on a variety of research and analysis projects, including economic analyses of environmental regulations and market studies. She holds a bachelor’s in economics and Spanish language and literature from Brandeis University. |

José Cruz Vice President for Higher Education Policy and Practice José leads the higher education policy and practice work at The Education Trust. He oversees the national Access to Success Initiative (20 public university systems) and has recently been involved in separate efforts to regulate the for-profit college industry and to save the Federal Pell Grant Program. José is former vice president for student affairs of the University of Puerto Rico System (UPR), where he oversaw admissions, financial aid, and student-life programs. He also served as UPR’s executive director for strategic planning and cofounded Puerto Rico’s K-16 Council. He previously served as professor and chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and as dean of academic affairs of the UPR Mayagüez campus, where he led several research projects with significant K-12 STEM student outreach and teacher training components. He earned a doctorate in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and he has published extensively in international scientific journals and for technical conferences. A senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, he received the National Science Foundation Career Award. Active in industry, José is a patented inventor.

Jennifer Engle Director of Higher Education Research and Policy Prior to joining The Education Trust, Jennifer was senior research analyst and interim director of the Pell Institute, the research arm of the Council for Opportunity in Education, an organization that advocates on behalf of TRIO programs and students. She was the lead author of several reports, including “Demography Is Not Destiny: Increasing Graduation Rates for Low-Income Students at Large, Public Universities,” “Straight from the Source: What Works for First-Generation College Students,” and “Moving Beyond Access: College Success for Low-Income, First-Generation Students,” coauthored with Vincent Tinto. Jennifer earned her doctorate at American University. |

Mamie Lynch Higher Education Research and Policy Analyst At Ed Trust, Mamie analyzes racial and economic gaps in college access and success and evaluates policies aimed at closing these gaps. Previously, she researched the factors affecting high school students’ decisions to study STEM fields in college and worked as a research assistant studying school desegregation patterns in Alexandria, Va. Mamie holds a bachelor’s and master’s in civil engineering from Villanova University and University of Delaware. She earned a master’s in public policy, with a concentration in education, social, and family policy, from the Georgetown University Public Policy Institute. |

Griselda Macias Higher Education Project Coordinator Griselda joined the Ed Trust shortly after she graduated in May 2008 from Carroll University with a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations. During college she became involved as a mentor in a College Readiness Program that helped Milwaukee’s minority and low-income public high school students become college ready. At Ed Trust Griselda helps manage the Access to Success Initiative, an initiative composed of 24 university systems with the goal of cutting their access and success gaps in half by 2015. |

Mary Nguyen Higher Education Research and Policy Analyst Mary primarily manages the College Results Online portfolio, an interactive web-based tool that provides facts on college graduation rates to students, parents, school counselors, policymakers, and researchers. She analyzes patterns in access and success rates, and highlights campus and system-based efforts that have made progress towards improving graduation rates. Previously, Mary was a research assistant at Education Sector, where she studied issues related to college and career readiness, college access and completion, and competency-based higher education, and authored “Degreeless in Debt: What Happens to Borrowers Who Drop Out.” Despite holding degrees in biology and linguistics, Mary became passionate about higher education issues at the University of Virginia after working with the admissions and financial aid offices to increase students’ awareness of AccessUVA, U.Va.’s financial aid program for low-income students. Mary also co-founded and presided over an advocacy organization at U.Va. that supports socioeconomic diversity in higher education. She holds a master’s in public policy, with a higher education concentration from Johns Hopkins Institute for Policy Studies. |

Joseph Yeado Higher Education Research and Policy Analyst Before joining The Education Trust, Joe was the regional admissions counselor in Chicago for Marquette University where he visited high schools, interviewed applicants, and helped select students. He also co-chaired the government relations committee of the Wisconsin Association for College Admission Counseling, where he advocated at the state and local levels on behalf of college funding to benefit students of color and low-income students. Joe holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in applied economics, both from Marquette University. His master’s thesis explored the relationship between education and economic growth in developing countries.

Anneliese Bruner Senior Web Editor Before joining the Ed Trust, Anneliese worked as an independent writer and editor serving such private and government clients as Langhum Mitchell Communications, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and, on projects in the United States and East Africa, the U.S. Agency for International Development. She worked previously as a contributing editor at Black Entertainment Television, and for McKinsey & Co. as an electric power information specialist, where she managed a pro bono mentoring program for students at H.G. Woodson Senior High School in Washington, D.C. She is an alumna of Bryn Mawr College, and her work has appeared in Black Issues in Higher Education, Journal of EDM Finance, Honey Magazine, Savoy Magazine, and USAID’s FrontLines. |

Iris Maria Chavez Assistant Field Director Prior to joining the Education Trust, Iris Maria served as Deputy Director for Education Policy & Outreach at the League of United Latin American Citizens, where she oversaw LULAC’s state and federal education policy work. In this capacity she worked to deepen LULAC’s understanding of state and federal school reform, and expanded the relationships between LULAC’s grassroots education advocates and state and federal policymakers. Prior to LULAC, Iris Maria worked as a Legislative Associate for the Food Research and Action Center (FRAC), where she was a junior lobbyist assisting FRAC’s state and local network on food assistance programs and governmental processes at the federal level. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, History & African Diaspora Studies from Tulane University and a Master of Arts degree in Social Policy from the University of Chicago. |

Ebony Daughtry Administrative Assistant to Government Affairs and Communications, and K-12 Policy and Practice Ebony Daughtry graduated from Strayer University with an associate’s degree in business administration. Before coming to The Education Trust, Ebony was the office coordinator at National Academy for State Health Policy. In this role, she oversaw the academy’s day-to-day office activities, maintaining the COO/CFO calendar, working with all vendors, securing estimates for three renovations, and ordering office supplies.

Jim Davy Legislative Affairs Assistant Jim Davy, legislative affairs assistant. Jim joined The Education Trust from Educational Testing Service (ETS), where he analyzed assessment performance data for validity, reliability, and fairness. Prior to ETS, he served on the policy staff of former NJ Gov. Jon Corzine’s re-election campaign, where he concentrated particularly on economic issues and education policy. Cheryl D. Fields Managing Editor Over the years, Cheryl has used her communications expertise as a lever for advancing social justice. Her work as a strategic communications consultant, journalist, and weekly podcast producer-host has given voice to the voiceless, influenced public policy, and challenged the status quo on pivotal issues such as educational equity (race, class, and gender), racial justice, immigration reform, and responsible fatherhood. Cheryl comes to The Education Trust from Langhum Mitchell Communications, where she was co-owner and executive vice president. Stephanie Germeraad Director of Communications Stephanie brings more than a decade of advocacy communications experience to The Education Trust. Her work in K-12 education—handling public affairs, media relations, and communications strategy for the U.S. Department of Education’s National Assessment Governing Board and for the Milken Family Foundation and its teacher-quality programs—has garnered national recognition: the Crystal Award of Excellence from the National Communicator Awards, the Public Relations Society of America’s PRism Award of Excellence, and the PRo Award from the Public Communicators of Los Angeles. Stephanie is a graduate of the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism at the University of Southern California. |

Lynn Jennings Legislative Affairs Associate Prior to joining the Education Trust team, Lynn was a senior program manager for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. She directed the foundation’s professional fellowship programs for young professionals working on Capitol Hill and was responsible for the strategic management of all of the foundation’s education programs. She taught at Spelman College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in English literature, and at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, where she completed her doctoral work. |

Sela Lewis Graphic Designer Sela Lewis, graphic designer at The Education Trust, has worked in such varied settings as commercial real estate, law firms, and political campaigns. Her involvement in education activism in high school and summers during college working with children at her neighborhood Boys & Girls Club have shaped Sela’s knowledge about the issues The Education Trust supports. A graduate of Howard University, she holds a bachelor of fine arts in graphic design. For Sela, graphic design is about effectively communicating ideas visually so that good ideas become great — a bit like fine cooking, which calls for quality ingredients, coupled with intuition about flavors, colors, and textures. |

Blair Mann Communications Specialist Blair is the primary point-of-contact for regional and state-based media outlets. She also supports efforts to increase awareness of, and commitment to, our mission by creating and carrying out media relations strategies and tracking their results. Prior to joining The Education Trust, Blair worked at DCI Group where she advised clients on media, public affairs, and communications strategies pertaining to policy issues ranging from education to international finance. Before DCI Group, Blair worked in both the District and Capitol Hill offices of U.S. Representative Chaka Fattah (D - PA). A native of Philadelphia, Blair holds a master’s degree from the George Washington University in public policy, concentrating in education policy, and a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and political science from the University of Pittsburgh. |

Clarise McCants Field Assistant Clarise is an undergraduate student at Howard University studying political science with a concentration in community development. Dan Miller Manager, New Media Dan Miller joined Ed Trust to grow the organization’s online outreach and mobilize its supporters. He previously served as the external affairs manager at the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund, where he expanded the organization’s online presence through e-mail, social media, and the relaunch of the blog GayPolitics.com. Dan was a reporter for four years for County News, a publication of the National Association of Counties. He contributes arts reporting to the Washington Post and the Washington Post Express. He holds a bachelor’s in English from the College of William and Mary. |

Kate Tromble Director of Legislative Affairs Prior to joining The Education Trust, Kate was an attorney with the education practice of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP’s Government and Regulatory Affairs Practice Group, where she specialized in regulatory and legislative issues related to higher education. Kate previously served as legislative counsel to both Sen. Paul S. Sarbanes and Rep. Artur Davis. She also served as legislative and policy adviser to former Maryland Lt. Gov. Kathleen Kennedy Townsend. Kate is a graduate of Georgetown University and Vanderbilt University School of Law. |

Ericka Miller Vice President for Operations and Strategic Leadership Ericka was vice president and director of the national executive search firm Isaacson, Miller, where she led the firm’s K-12 education practice. She previously was president and chief operating officer of The McKenzie Group, an education consulting firm that provided evaluation and technical assistance services to school districts, federal agencies, foundations, and other organizations. Ericka also served as a legislative assistant for education to former U.S. Senator Bob Kerrey and taught at Mills College, in Oakland, Calif. Tom Gilmer Chief Financial Officer Tom was chief financial officer for the Center for Policy Alternatives, a national nonprofit that provides technical assistance to state policymakers. Tom previously was controller and general accounting manager for the National Academy of Sciences. He began his finance and accounting career with Advanced Computer Techniques Corporation in New York City. Tom graduated from Hofstra University and is a certified public accountant. |

Melva Jones Director of Meetings and Conferences Melva comes to the Ed Trust from the National Legal Aid and Defender Association, where she was the meetings and events manager; and she was the first full-time strategic events manager for College Summit, Inc. In these positions, Melva’s work included writing event operations publications, supervising concurrent events across 13 affiliate offices, training junior events professionals, and managing a multifarious centennial celebration. She was responsible for a budget in excess of $4 million. In the nonprofit, entertainment, corporate, and association sectors, Melva has directly managed conventions, festivals, galas, and special events, some with up to 60,000 attendees. She holds degrees with distinction from Howard and Columbia Universities, respectively, and is currently expanding her knowledge base in the culinary arts. |

Judy Karasik Senior Associate for Development Judy comes to the Ed Trust with experience as an editor, writer, trainer, fundraiser, consultant, and project manager. She has worked in and written extensively about national service and youth development, has managed national technical assistance projects, and has edited fiction by writers including Louise Erdrich and Julius Lester. With her brother, the graphic novelist Paul Karasik, she is co-author of the dual-format book The Ride Together: A Brother and Sister’s Memoir of Autism in the Family (Simon & Schuster, 2003). She has lived both in the USA and abroad and is a graduate of Oberlin College. |

Maleka Lawrence Managing Director of Development and Strategic Partnerships In leading development for the Ed Trust, Maleka guides our efforts to forge productive relationships that ensure sustainability and help advance the organization’s mission. Previously, Maleka served as director of development at Harlem RBI, a youth development organization in New York City. Under her leadership, Harlem RBI nearly doubled its revenue, launched a $20 million capital campaign, and implemented a rebranding plan. Earlier, Maleka was a development associate at The Family Center in New York City and served as a clinical social worker, assisting families affected by life-threatening illnesses. Maleka received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from American University and her master of social work degree from New York University. She also completed Columbia University’s Institute for Non-Profit Management certificate program in nonprofit leadership. |

Andrea Maertens Senior Manager for Operations Andrea was regional operations manager for the Washington, D.C., office of Isaacson, Miller, an executive search firm. She previously was the office manager for the law firm Brown & Gould and assistant to the MBA Admissions Department at A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University. Andrea is a Tulane graduate and holds a Professional in Human Resources certification. |

Chantel McCloud Senior Accountant A graduate of Howard University, Chantel has more than 14 years of accounting experience. Before joining The Education Trust, she was the United Way of America’s manager of grants and contracts and lead associate for accounts receivable. Chantel previously worked at the Center for Policy Alternatives as manager of accounts payable and payroll. |

Loretta Singleton Receptionist and Administrative Assistant Before joining Ed Trust, Loretta was the administrative assistant to Floretta Dukes McKenzie, a former superintendent of schools in the District of Columbia. She performed similar duties for the American Institutes for Research. Loretta previously worked as a payroll supervisor, data-entry specialist, and in various other administrative positions for the George Washington University. |

Emerald Stewart Meetings Coordinator and Project Assistant Emerald plays a key role in supporting successful meeting operations and development efforts within the organization. Before joining The Education Trust, she helped coordinate large-scale events and conferences at associations such as CTIA-The Wireless Association and The Gerontological Society of America. Emerald holds a bachelor's in communications from Howard University and has studied meeting and event management through George Washington University’s Certificate Program. She is a community volunteer with a passion for minority and youth development. |
