Community Engagement in Education Reform – Beyond Lip Service

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

Public Agenda believes an important key to successful education reform is to engage the stakeholders--to let the community in--so they provide input that can shape policy in critical ways, and so they develop ownership for that policy’s success. This workshop will draw on more than a decade of intensive experience at Public Agenda in public and stakeholder engagement on education reform at the school, district, state and even national level, focusing on statewide work in Nebraska and Connecticut, district and school-level work in New York City and San Jose, CA, and a new initiative to close achievement gaps at America’s community colleges.
