Latino Student Success: Promising Financial Aid Strategies

Printer-friendly versionPrinter-friendly version

Given the current educational attainment levels for students of color, demands for economic competitiveness, and projected Latino demographic growth in the United States, increasing college-degree attainment requires a focus on minority students. Higher education leaders will need measures, tactics, and strategies that will encourage expansion and replication of effective policies and practices. This session will emphasize financial aid as an equity tool for Latino student success. It will provide the context and information necessary to develop analytic and diagnostic tools for institutions to analyze their own practices and consider other promising practices that have proved effective in advancing Latino student success.
