Session 27: Preparing Transformed School Counselors

Graduates of TSC Initiative programs gain an array of skills and knowledge to help close opportunity, information, and achievement gaps. How are these skills assessed, and what evidence should be gathered to ensure school counselor preparation programs really are creating transformed school counselors? This session explores a standards-based e-portfolio system that assesses each candidate’s progress. Sample school counseling student portfolios will be shared. (Area A: Policy and Practice)
