Session 38: Meeting the Challenge: How to Accelerate Underserved Students

This session explores how the system of acceleration and support in Advancement Via Individual Achievement (AVID) not only prepares low-income students for college and careers, but can also be a catalyst for building a college-going culture that transforms entire schools. Participants will be introduced to evidence-based strategies and case studies, honed over 25 years of practice, which are currently being used in 2,200 schools in 36 states and 15 countries.
