Participants will learn how the Education Trust works with parents, community-based organizations and education advocates to attain a high quality education for all children regardless of their race, family economic status, disability or language barrier. This hands-on workshop session will focus on understanding how perceptions drive the decision-making process in education and influence the quality of education. We will craft innovative ways to assist parents and education advocates to understand standards-based school reform and the federal education law and to accomplish meaningful parent and community involvement.
