Under the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, low-income children in public schools “in need of improvement” can receive free tutoring, also called supplemental educational services (SES). Come learn how one district used the SES program to provide students with the extra academic help they needed to raise student achievement. Find out about tools and strategies to help families, educators, districts, and policy makers improve implementation of the SES program to help eligible students benefit from this new opportunity.
