Session 6: Closing the Gap Early: The K-2 Project
Printer-friendly versionAdministrators of the K-2 Project in the Fort Wayne Community Schools, a successful early reading intervention, share how multiple data sources contribute to its design, evaluation, and effectiveness. The project includes the use of Indiana Division of Exceptional Learners Continuous Improvement Monitoring, scientifically based reading research recommendations, and Dynamic Indicators of Basic Literacy Skills (DIBELS). The intervention provides targeted reading instruction for students with disabilities and other students at risk of being identified as a student with disabilities. Early results are promising.
