The Scaffolded Apprenticeship Model (SAM) integrates the work of school improvement with the work of building leadership capacity. SAM (developed by New Visions for Public Schools in partnership with Baruch College/CUNY) redefines leadership—from a model of positional authority to one of shared responsibility and mutual accountability.
