The Education Trust Voted ‘Most Effective’

The Education Trust was named one of the “top three most effective education lobbyists” in Washington, D.C., in a survey of 50 influential leaders active in education reform. The survey is regularly administered by Education Insider through a proprietary tool that tracks participants’ perspectives on education trends and policy issues. Survey participants included past and present White House officials, leaders from the Department of Education and congressional offices, state-level school administrators, and trade association and think tank leaders.

Analysis by co-publishers John Bailey and Andrew Rotherham, the latter of whom has been described by Washingtonian Magazine as being “at the forefront of U.S. education policy,” provides additional insight into the contours of education decisions that come down the pike on an ongoing basis.

“While we’re, of course, honored that our work has been recognized by these education leaders, the thing that gets us all up in the morning is our absolute faith in the abilities of America’s children and young people, and the hope that our work can make a real difference for them,” says Amy Wilkins, vice president for government affairs and communications at the Ed Trust. The other two organizations named in the top three are the National Education Association and the Council of the Great City Schools.
