Results from the 2009 Programme for International Student Assessment: How does the United States compare to other nations?
Economic and technological innovations successfully moved the United States from the Industrial Age to the Digital Age. Americans have entered—and now must compete in—a more sophisticated, technological global economy. Unfortunately, 2009 data from Programme for International Student Assessment shows that the nation’s schools have failed to keep up with corresponding educational demands, leaving our young people unprepared for the international marketplace.
