The Education Trust—West in partnership with New America Media will host an Education News Briefing and Data Training for California based ethnic media agencies. Reporters will learn how to find the most recent education data for their specific ethnicity and region, receive hands-on training given by data experts on finding and using online education research and data, develop education story ideas and obtain data on college readiness and dropout rates.  In addition, participating reporters will receive a sneak peak at The Education Trust—West’s soon to be released reports on African-American, Latino and Asian student achievement and have a Q & A session with leading education experts in the state.
